ABOUT THE ARTIST
Diego Larguia is a New Orleans artist who was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and moved to the United States in 1991. He has studied with artists Don Anderson, Jerome Weinberger and Phil Sandusky. He has been in group exhibitions at the Boutique del Arte in Buenos Aires and the Alexandria, LA Museum of Art.

His current style is painterly realism and all of the landscapes are done en plein air. These works reflect the diverse influences of Sorolla, Sargent, and Monet. This is his second solo exhibition in the gallery.

IN HIS OWN WORDS

This body of work includes plein air paintings done before and after Hurricane Katrina. My objective is to capture that specific point in time and place as it presented itself to me, communicating my perspective.
